Great Ocean Road, Victoria

Australia has 36,735 kilometres (22,826 miles) of coastline.  The great ocean road follows along 430 km (267 mi) of coastline, to the southwest of Melbourne.

The area between Cape Otaway and Port Fairy is also know as The Shipwreck Coast as there are over 80 shipwrecks on the many hidden reefs.

Cape Otway Light house was built in 1848 to ward of ships.

The hidden reefs and sand bars cause breaks to form, which is great for surfing.
